Transparency matters on a site that gives practical advice. This page explains how keralatempleguide.com earns money, and how that does and does not affect what you read.
1. What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a specially coded link to a product, service or booking platform. If you click it and then buy or book, the seller may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price as you would anywhere else. The commission comes from the seller, not from you.
2. Our partners
We currently use, or may use, affiliate links from hotel and travel booking platforms such as Booking.com, Klook, Viator and Tripadvisor, and from Amazon for books and other products.
Not every external link on this site is an affiliate link. Many links — to official temple sites, Devaswom Boards, Kerala Tourism and news reports — have no commercial relationship at all.
3. How links are marked
Affiliate links carry a sponsored attribute for search engines and, wherever they appear, are accompanied by a short note such as "Affiliate link — booking through it costs you nothing extra." We link only to services we think are genuinely useful to pilgrims and temple visitors.
4. Advertising
Some pages may display advertisements served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies to personalise ads. We do not choose individual ads and do not endorse advertisers. You can opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com; see our privacy policy for details. If an ad seems disrespectful or out of place on a spiritual site, please tell us and we will look into it.
5. Editorial independence
Advertisers, affiliate partners and commercial relationships do not decide what we write. Our guides are based on our own research and on published sources.

6. Does it cost you anything?
No. Using an affiliate link does not increase the price you pay. The commission helps cover the cost of researching, writing and maintaining this free guide.
7. Sponsored content
If we ever publish content funded by a third party, it will be labelled "Sponsored" or "Paid partnership" at the top, before any text. We would not publish sponsored content that is inaccurate or misleading. At present we publish no sponsored content.
8. External links and image credits
We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites; a link is not an endorsement. Images from Wikimedia Commons are used under their Creative Commons licences and credited beneath each image with the photographer's name and licence. Those credits are copyright attributions, not affiliate relationships.
9. Accuracy and health disclaimer
We work to keep our guides accurate, but timings, entry rules, booking procedures and festival dates can change without notice. Please confirm practical details with the temple or Devaswom Board before travelling. Our content reflects widely accepted practice and may not cover every local custom.
Where we mention health-related traditions — for example fasting or the properties of copper vessels — this is general information, not medical advice. Please consult a qualified doctor about your health. We are an independent website and are not affiliated with any temple, Devaswom Board or government tourism body.
